Character Creation Guidelines
- Your character will begin play starting at level 2.
- Roll 4d6kh3 six times to determine your ability scores. Reroll your array until you have obtained two 15s and a total of at least 72 points. A useful macro for rolling this in game is simply [[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]]
- You may re-roll 1s on your Hit Dice, but you must keep the second result. If your characters die it should be because you earned it, not because you rolled horribly.
- You may select a bonus feat at level 1 from your chosen race's list of racial feats whose requirements you meet. Humans have no list of racial bonus feats, and instead retain their Bonus Feat racial trait and may select any feat for which they qualify.
- You may select two Traits and one Drawback for your character.
- You may select two Background Skills to take as additional Class Skills. One of these must be a Knowledge Skill.
- We will use the standard starting equipment options, which for level 2 is whatever you can purchase with 1000 GP. You may only keep as much as 20 GP of this after character creation to represent your short adventures or past life before the start of the campaign.
- All Adventurers begin play speaking Common, having picked it up to some degree on their travels before the start of the campaign. Each player's level of fluency and literacy in Common, however, is at their own discretion.
- While I've created custom races with stats and traits to help your character fit the world of Kaena even better (you can find a full list of races with links to their full stats here), if you want to play using any material straight out of any Paizo book that's perfectly okay. If you want to play it, then I can make it work!
