Born the bastard son of the late King of Chaith and a merchant, Julian is comfortable in both the royal and common social spheres. However, his close view of the darker side of Chaith has left him bristling at the status quo. When initial attempts at persuading his brother/king fail, he turns to other, more subversive methods of social change.
