7 Membracapsulus
Name: Membracapsulus
Ancestor: Protocapsulus
Description: Like it's ancestor it is a complex of protein components and genetic information that can be written into and read in sections in response to activation of receptor sites, temperature change and other catalysts. The membracapsulus rhibozome is attracted to the hydrophobic ends of the phospholipid molecules that make up the bi-layer fatty membranes manufactured by other self-replicators. Membracapsulus can produce a multitude of reactive particles that repair molecular damage and even reconstruct simple molecular components by attracting the correct ingredients in the correct positions. They thrive alongside other species that perform other functions, such as improving nutrient availability, though they can survive alone in cooler waters where reaction times are slower (as such is heat-induced decay).
Food: Environmental nucleotides, small genomic and peptic fragments.
Metabolism: Chemolithotrophic
Reproduction: Genomic and non-genomic material duplication
Optimal Ambient Temperature: 200°C
Regions: Deep hydrothermal vent
