Session 11 - Missing and Accounted For Report

General Summary

Finally finishing the scroll, Mirielle identified the wand and found it is a Wand of Securing with the command word, Agleo, to unlock the boxes from the wand. A remorseful Ewan spends some time burying the body of the unfortunate arcanist that was killed when trying to break into one of the crates. Everyone rests a little and Mirielle collects the spilled coins from where the bandits were gambling finding 40g 17sp while Surge searching the house finds an old bracelet that brought back old memories.

After freeing the remaining prisoners, they pile them in wheelbarrows as they agree it is time to make their exit before reinforcement arrives. Even stay back to attempt to track the escaped carts and is able to track them to the end of the forests but the tracks vanish exiting the woods and Ewan suspects Pass without Trace was used to cover their destination.

During the trek back to town, the freed prisoners finally recover consciousness, and the party pries whatever details they can get from them. Matching the names of the five rescued people, three of them match those of people taken in Sherborne, one of them from Glendine and the last hailing from Dawndale. From gathering info they learn that Dawndale has been dealing with serial killing and his targets have been named on the list. The man from Glendine, Albius Cordale, whose name is also on the list, was about to go on the run for a crime of embezzlement and theft, that he claims he was framed for. When ask who would do this, he wasn't sure, but when given a list of people, Ewan suspects it may have been the VP of the company Douglas Mallard. The group is also informed that many prominent arcanist businessmen have also run afoul of the law.

Looking over the Writs of Transport, they note that all are going to place noted as WH-627 and the recipient of the delivery is marks as the names of the missing arcanists. Continuing on their way they make their way back to Rylye and visit the herbalist to get some refreshing tinctures for the abductees and heal them up. Deciding their next course of action, they decided to head north to check out the murders.
