Great Hope Treaty

Purpose

The Great Hope Treaty was the signed declaration for the end of hostilities between the six kingdoms of Rinas. After over a hundred years of bloody and destructive war, the kingdoms had found themselves at a stalemate. The intervention by Ronan Yanning and The Defending Blades spent two years disturbing the plans of all six kingdoms and forcing the leaders to the table to attempt peace.

Document Structure

Clauses

The clauses of the treaty set up the terms of peace between each kingdom. The first clause establishes the end of hostilities between the kingdoms. The second clause lays out the terms of trade and travel between the kingdoms. The third clause establishes the current borders at the final lines that make up the six kingdoms. The fourth clause lays out the caveats should any kingdom break conditions of the previous clauses. The fifth clause established The Blades as an official organization to maintain and defend the civilian peace and how it will be funded. The sixth and final clause establishes the Arcanium as the law of arcane on Rinas.

Caveats

Caveats for breaking the clauses of the treaty start with penalties for trade and commerce pressed by the other kingdoms and in the extreme breaking of the clauses agreements for cooperation against the hostilities of one or more kingdoms were established. The Great Hope Treaty is a great creation of Aether magic, its agreement binds the leaders of every nation to its clauses and this binding freely passes on to the next to take power.

Legal status

The treaty was signed by all the rightful leaders at the time as well as Ronan Yanning acting as witness to the proceedings. The treaty also help establish official The Blades and their current agenda of protection of the civilians.

Historical Details

Background

The Great Hope Treaty currently holds the fragile peace between the six kingdoms who before were nearly on the brink of destroying each other.

History

For over a hundred years before the treaty was signed, the kingdoms that had been established became fighting over resources. Kingdoms have sacrificed hundreds of thousands of troops to push borders and take the resources they needed. The longevity of the war had caused such attrition that it brought the kingdoms into a hard stalemate leaving an opening for possible peace if it just brokered by the right person.
