The Thousand Summer (De Tausand Sâmer)

The Thousand Summer is a party tradition held by Heim's sea elves. It is a event that most elves celebrate once they reach a thousand years. Not many elves arrive at this age, so the ritual is pretty important and it's a sign of vitality and wisdom for the birthday person.    Only one Heim king has ever celebrated this event: Grenier, the Seventh. He was the dirst and only ruler from the sea elves country to reach a thounsand years, and was the first to reach two thousand years aswell. The legends say that Grenier had made some deals with dangerous demons to live so long. Although, the price to pay for such a bargain was high: he had to watch both his wife and daughter die in front of him, and live the rest of his endless days alone and completely destroyed.

History

This tradition has started with Erenus, the Tired. He was a sea elf that lived between -28910 and -27819. On his thousand year aniversary he decided to throw a "hell of a party", as he stated, for there weren't much time left to live his life. The event was such a success that it quickly became a tradition amongst the sea elves. Erenus died of old age and in his bed some years later.

Execution

This event is held by elves that reach a thousand years. It's a day of joy and celebration, for not many elves arrive at this stage.
