Honeylavender Kingdom
Structure
The country is run by a hereditary monarchy. Only the children or grandchildren of a current or former king/queen are eligible to become the new monarch. Monarchs can be male or female. The new monarch is decided based on a secretive and intensive tests that all children endure when the go from a child to a teenager. The king or queen has absolute power but is assisted by elected representative that speak for the people of the kingdom. Each town within the kingdom has an elected mayor that can make independent decisions so long as they don't conflict with the monarch's laws.
Public Agenda
The monarchy has vowed to put the people forward and to make all decisions based on what will benefit the population. Not all monarchs have adhered to this promise, but because the crown is given up before the death of the previous monarch, former kings and queens can often intervene when necessary.
Assets
Like many kingdoms, the monarchy holds a large collection of gold coins. Beyond that, they have multiple castles and one palace in which the monarchs can rule. The castles are primarily used during war times, while the grand palace is used during peace times. The kingdom has many soldiers all ready to defend their kingdom, they also have access to refined steel weapons thanks to an unusually large population of Volcanic Raptors.
History
The country was founded by a red Terrestrial Raptor whose childhood town was ravaged by war. Most of the fighting was between the different subspecies of Raptor, some of whom shared the same types of environments. The Raptor known as Shatteredruby took a stand to bring about a peaceful end to the fighting, and gained a strong following. In the end he founded a kingdom to promote equality and peace amongst the different Rators. He also instilled a unique system of choosing the next monarch to ensure that the kingdom would also be in the care of the right claws.
