If it wasn't for his height, Desmond Widmore would look like a kid whom is still growing into his body. Standing a freakish 6'6" tall, Desmond is your classic ectomorph, a slinky lead build with long limbs and minimal body fat.

Personal history
Desmond was raised in a suburban middle class family in Allentown PA.
A B+ career student, never the smartest, but smart enough to know he’d never be as good as the top of the class or as ‘blessed’ as the rich kids
But he had a loving family, and that’s what mattered
Desmond ran track in high school
AV Club
Was heavily involved in environmental activism (Initially to impress a girl, ended up meeting a cute boy and his first boyfriend there) - Help organize multiple protests for climate change protest days for his school in 2019’s
Managed to earn a small scholarship to Penn State University for his work
Tried out but didn’t make the Penn State Track team as a walk on. (Wasn’t fast enough)
Sexuality
Desmond kissed his first boy at 17 and shocked half of his school as a result. He remembers how him and his then boyfriend were picked on until they called it off. He ended up ‘playing it safe’ and going to prom with a close female friend.
Education
Desmond is at Penn State, ‘remotely unaware’ of what he is and what he has become. He’s still taking classes to the best of his abilities, however the dreams of him running as a wolf and waking up with a full stomach aren’t helping him feel any ‘normal’ these days
And rumors of what is happening up in Centre county are starting to spread
Starting in December, Desmond will come back home from school to Allentown for Winter break.

From where did you become a werewolf?
In his first semester on campus, (Freshman year) Desmond tried going out for a Fraternity house (Phi Kappa Theta). As a part of the infamous, rush week he was left alone, half drunk and 150 miles away from campus. Walking back home aimlessly into the night when a fluke of magic happened. Desmond had a touch of distant werewolf blood in him that ‘sparked to life’ as a result of the October events + the mutagen in the air from Battle Island.
Since then, Desmond thinks he’s going insane. His hunger levels are off the chart and he’s consistently had dreams of wolves.
He has no control over his powers at this stage, or has a clue of what he is.
Intellectual Characteristics
Going to a Philly baseball game with his Dad when he was 11 and remembering how dirty the waters of Philly were. He remembers asking Dad why they were so gross and how come no one was doing anything to clean them up
When Desmond was 13, he had a dream about wolves. Distant howling monsters screaming into the night. He tried to keep up with them but couldn’t. As fast as he ran, he could never keep up with them. But ever since then, he’s always had a little wolf stuffed animal on his desk and always get a yearly wolf calendar.
