A Moment Out of Time

Lee Winship and various other heroes aim to go back in time and fix Battle Island. Knowing what they know now, they can catch Senator Rand red handed for orchestrating the entire event. They can undo the mutations and damage that resulted from the missile launch. They can prevent Rush from ever going to prison. The only problem is, they don't get to go back in time.
The group lands 24 years in the future to discover a complete apocalpyse. At first, it seems to be The Philadelphia Pack fighting against The Lab. Soon, the heroes learn, Tesla seemingly went mad after the heroes left. When they went to time travel, they all disappeared from the past. Lee's death was faked.
Tesla got revenge on Lee's seeming killer, Senator Rand, before he used Lorelei McKellar's demonic abilities to brainwash everyone at the lab, slowly take over the area, and wage a war. He fought to take over everything in reach. It all came to a head with Lee trying to bring down the Lab's new Flying Fortress from the inside, the near death of Dave, and a massive battle against a demon.
The true story finally emerges in the end. Rand used a demon to get rid of Lee, then took on Tesla's form, while the real Tesla was kept in stasis. As an insider, he was able to use the lab's immense resources to his own ends. He created an army of hybrid werewolves, forced to obey his every command. It was enough to start a conquest to take over the world.
There would be consequences from this final showdown. Astrid called on the moon for the power it would take to survive this entire affair. In the process, she awoke Artemis, a divine figure who would come to haunt them in 2020. Even in the future, actions have consequences.
Radar gave Lee Winship a prophecy before the heroes were all returned to their originating timeline.
