Luna Cat Character in Libertas | World Anvil

Luna Cat

Luna Cat, born Delivia Luxen, is a Felinamorph singer, actress, social activist, and songwriter. Luna Cat is famed for her sudden rise to stardom after being discovered by small time producer Eros Finn, as well as her politically charged lyrics. She had her first Diamond hit in E2.Y794, the eponymous album Luna, which spawned six number one hits and started her rise to fame.   Since her rise, she has launched four more Diamond certified albums, and stared in the holoVR's Oblivious Me and Martin Street. Luna has become a notable figure in social activism, and is the most prominent and best paid Genemorph alive. Her lyrics often feature references to the plight of Genemorphs', lamenting the sexual exploitation of Genemorphs, poverty and corporate greed.

Career

Before her stardom, Luna Cat found employ as a bar singer. She had studied singing under several tutors growing up, but following her father's suicide when she was 13, lenders foreclosed on their apartment and she was forced onto the streets. She remained homeless for several years, staying with friends and lovers at times, making ends meet as a street busker and working manual labour.   Age 24, Finn saw her performing at a bar in downtown Tokyo City and convinced her to record a demo to sell to record companies. It failed to be picked up, and so Finn released it independently on HERMES. The track went viral, launching her career.   Her successful independent album launch later that year startled record companies. Luna became the fastest setting album to date, and was followed by three more successful albums. A live tour across the system, including special concerts for the Genemorph community, sold out. Luna went on to became the most followed person HERMES within two years.   Critics have credited her rise to fame as fulfilling a deep desire for independent artists who spoke about the issues facing the middle and lower class in Libertas. As well as intense support from the Genemorph community, who rarely see themselves among popstars and actors, this combined to create a darling of "social rebellion in musical form."

Personal Life

Luna is an open polyamorist, and has dated a large number of fellow celebrities as various times. She is presently dating actor Anton Chang and Eostre Symphony Orchestra violinist Mia Beth.
