Slow Natural Healing
Source: DMG, p. 267 Characters don't regain hit points at the end of a long rest. Instead, a character can spend Hit Dice to heal at the end of a long rest, just as with a short rest.Short Attunement Time
Source: Stolen from XP to Level 3's video: My 21 Homebrew Rules for D&D 5e Attuning to a magic item takes 1 action, and ending attunement on an item takes 10 minutes.First-Use Burst
Source: Original Homebrew The first time that you use an action, bonus action, or reaction class feature gained by levelling up, you succeed on every skill check, attack roll, and saving throw that results from the use of your class feature, you roll maximum damage and healing, and each target fails or succeeds on their saving throws as you choose. Exceptions may be made by the GM on a case-by-case basis. Note. Be sure to mark features which still have their first-use bursts. Character Creation. You have no first-use bursts at character creation.Devil's Deal
Source: Original Homebrew Whenever you fail a skill check, saving throw, or attack roll, the GM can offer for you to succeed at a cost. The cost is not told to the player until after the offer is accepted.Having More Than One Type
Source: UA 2021: Gothic Lineages Some creatures are of more than one creature type. If an effect works on at least one of a creature’s types, that effect can work on that creature. For example, if you are both a Humanoid and an Undead, cure wounds works on you, since the spell works on a Humanoid.Consequences of Resurrections
When you attempt to bring a soul back from the Afterlife, you are met by Mornaq, the god of passing. Mornaq can't stop a soul from leaving the Afterlife, but he can provide safe-ish passage to its destination. It is up to the soul to convince him to do so, and he will only provide the service the first time a soul returns from the Afterlife. With a safe passage back from the Afterlife, the soul should only be left with a minor or moderate "soul scar," which can have a variety of permanent consequences. With an unsafe passage back from the Afterlife, the soul may encounter terrible threats. Deities are exempt from this, and may enter and leave the Afterlife without restriction or consequence.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
