Lord Ester Truecrest

Grand Curator

It is no surprise that Lord Ester Truecrest is perhaps the most accomplished of the current seven Magelords, due to their long life and lofty ambitions. In his youth, Lord Ester was deeply fascinated by ancient history, especially from the lands beyond Argo. Their passion eventually lead to a lucrative career in archaeology and antiquity, and they spent much of their adolescence working in libraries, archives, and museums across the Republic.   She's worked in many positions in their life, studying alchemy, runes, divination, and many other studies. Perhaps his most notable accomplishment was founding the Argolis Society of Antiquity, which holds thousands of historical texts, arcane scrolls, and enchanted artifacts, both for public viewing and private study in their vast archives.   They have held a seat among the Magelords for a very long time, longer than any of their fellow Lords. As Grand Curator, it is Lord Ester's job to acquire and identify any number of magical objects, identifying not only their use, but their value, origin, and significance. It is a job he does with pride and enthusiasm, even joining his assistants and operatives on excavations and research trips.   Generally, Lord Truecrest is regarded as one of the friendlier (though quite eccentric) Magelords, frequently attending events and making appearances. She's even seen as something of an altruist, often donating her large sums of money to educational and historical organizations. However, many dissenters within the Republic still see them as a bystander to tyranny, doing little to prevent the more callous acts of his fellow Magelords.

Gender Identity

Lord Ester is openly sorel'tessar (Elven term roughly translating to "fluid of gender") and while this particular gender identity is far more common amongst the cultures of the fey-kin, it is generally accepted within the Republic. Lord Truecrest prefers to present androgynously, and their pronouns fluctuate.
