The Broken Circle
Just off of the main craters that constitute most of Devil's Cradle lies the broken and scorched remnants of what was once the seat of the city's thirteenth noble house. No one knows the true cause of the explosion that destroyed much of the crater's contents and infused it with bizarre energy and heretofore-unseen forms of life. It is generally agreed, however, that the explosion created the Everstorm, and the weather in this region is even more bizarre than some of its denizens.
For safety reasons the area is sectioned off from the rest of the city. Luckily, it was already isolated before the incident and only reachable through a chasm called the Throat of Orpheus. The explosion tore a hole in the wall between the chasm and seabed, and now the passage floods at high tide, making travel to the Broken Circle even more hazardous.
