Significance

Generic tools of runic writing, partially-depleted solder markers are an excellent filler for junk drawers alongside tape and tax returns. Professional spellwrights own several more expensive markers designed to write at varying widths, and anodized variants are available to produce different colors. These specialized tools are regarded with much more respect.

Raw materials & Components

Solder markers are aluminum tubes with a button on the side. Pressing the button with the tip of the marker against a surface activates the internal soldering iron and reservoir of tin/copper, allowing the marker to write.
