Leland Peninsula

All things, living and non living, have an inherent energy within them in addition the natural energies that exist in the physical world. In Leland, humans have the ability to sense and manipulate these energies.   The Leland Peninsula was originally inhabited by individual tribes who would often skirmish among themselves. Everything changed when the peninsula was invaded by an unknown force from the north. The tribes rallied together around the Golden Lioness, a woman with a golden tongue so powerful she turned the invaders away with just the words that came from her mouth. Once peace returned to the peninsula, the tribes acknowledged their strength in numbers and united under the rule of the Lioness. The queendom remained at peace for several hundred years, but political infighting and a royal bloodline with a weakening grip on its power led to a bloody rebellion. The result was the Leland Confederacy.
