Coastal Ceratopsid
Basic Information
Ecology and Habitats
They prefer humid environments with plenty of ferns and plants for them to eat. They are often found roaming wide open plains or spacious forests. They are also accustomed to the native plants of coastal Anithtoria. A few ceratopsids were once shipped across the ocean, but they all fell ill and died due to disease and a diet of foreign plant species.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Ceratopsid horns are very valuable across the ocean. They are often carved into jewelry, eating utensils, and other trinkets. Both elephant tusks and rhinoceros horns are similar in appearance and harder to come by. However, the novelty of such a newly discovered animal unknown to their home continent has made ceratopsid horns much more valuable in the eyes of the wealthy of Pelatoria.
Ceratopsids are often used as pack animals by explorers traveling the Anithtorian wilderness. They can forage for themselves during journeys across unexplored terrain. Ceratopsids are also larger and stronger than horses, which aren't native to the continent and have a more difficulty adapting to the environment.
They are occasionally also hunted for food. Ceratopsid meat is tough and rather flavorless, but with creativity and a lot of spices it can make for a decent meal.
