Vanish
"What do you mean, gone?" Iohan barked at Antheos. Antheos slumped together.
"I don't know." Antheos replied meekly, "All I know is that my clothes were stolen and that she somehow vanished. Maybe you should ask the guys who were on watch last night. I believe the crown prince was one of them."
Iohan ordered one of the surrounding soldiers to get the four men who had been on watch the night before, but he also kept Antheos there. When they appeared, he talked to them all one by one. He let the two from the first watch go soon, because they couldn't tell him anything. Milnor's watch partner was quite embarrased to admit that he'd slept through his watch. Finally, Iohan turned to Milnor.
"So, you're sure you didn't see anything either? You were on watch and you didn't see a thing?" he snapped.
"In that fog? I could hardly see my own hands." Milnor said defensively. Iohan huffed angrily.
"You're a disappointment, all three of you. If I didn't know better I'd say you helped her escape. Now you'd better figure out where she went and deal with her, before she causes any trouble. Now!" Iohan said.
"There's only one way that would make sense for her to go, and that's east, back to Baitha, but everything between here and her home is our land. I'm sure she'll turn up eventually." Milnor said.
"With respect, my Prince, as much as I hate saying this, she's still a Serbaith huntress, one of the best. She knows how to move without being noticed." Antheos pointed out.
"Then ride east and scour every village. She'd be on foot, so you should be faster than her on horseback. And don't you dare turn up back here empty-handed." Iohan ordered.
Not long after, Milnor, Antheos and Milnor's watch partner left Soane, and while Antheos and the soldier glumly stared ahead, Milnor had to supress a smirk. Of course nobody even thought it possible that she might be going to Eleonis, much less on horseback, and what would she want there, after all, she knew nothing of Iohan's plans, or that was what they all assumed.
