Leagharil

Leagharil is a campaign setting in the Space Opera genre of Science Fiction, intended for use with the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition rules.   In Leagharil you will be able to take your game to the stars, squaring off against mind flayer nautiloids, hunt down space pirates threatening trade routes, or blast dragons from the safety of your warship. Alternatively, all that flying around might merely be a backdrop, as you manage your new colony on a wild world, navigate the intricate politics of a planet-wide city, or delve into Precursor ruins, stretching deep into a planet's crust.   The setting of Leagharil is defined by the existence of both advanced technology and magic, as well as the Theory of the Colliding Universes. Broadly speaking, the universe is divided into two, Deep Space and Shallow Space. Deep Space behaves pretty much as our own real space, at least as far as the Milky Way Galaxy is concerned. Shallow Space is very different, however. Most of Shallow Space is pressurised, with breathable air. It is much easier to travel through Shallow Space than Deep Space and many species live partly or exclusively in space. Cosmologically speaking, Shallow and Deep Space are considered to be at an oblique angle to each other, making them nearly invisible to each other. Only at certain points in space, known as Spacial Shelves, can one see or cross into the other Space.
