Layer

Certain points are similar to the earth as it is now, but most things are different. The same parts; celebrities, tv shows, races still exist, scattered rich people, but smoothed out among the poor, education, and work. The different parts would be that there is one government called the Armada, there are no countries, technology is more advanced, all networks are monitored, no use of food, all the people seek to serve the government, and a few persecuted citizens have super powers. The world looks like ours but all buildings and the floors are white, splats of popular colors on fashion/music/Armada posters. Clothes are very eccentric but tend to be more sleek than anything you've seen in The Grinch. No oceans at all, the water comes from wells that people don't know exist, and the water goes to be heavily filtered and then used to water sidewalk trees. Let me just put this here. THE EARTH IS ROUND!!! As a loyal citizen, you finish education at the age of 15, after which you go into work, as a community worker, technology worker, social worker, or a minion of the Armada. As a Power you have super powers and will be stuck at the age of a young adult until your body dies at a random time. So yeah you look the same for quite awhile. You also either get kidnapped by the Armada and are used to power the Cities, or you get killed fighting not to get kidnapped. Well, we are at a critical point in the history of Layer right now, where Powers are starting to stand up against the Armada. And along with the rebellion will come a pretty darn crazy pants discovery. Which I shall not tell you until I figure out how to balance writing a book and doing my homework. Hrm.
