Milisaka Smart Battery

In 2050, researchers at the Milisaka Weapon Manufacturing Consortium laboratories working on new micro-drones used for spying and infiltration made a significant breakthrough in mobile and cybernetic technologies that continues to shape our world today. They developed a new kind of battery made from materials similar to those in positronic brains they had been working on. This battery proved to have a very high storage value, but more importantly it also acted similar to the positronic computers used in AI research.
Positronic computers use a crystalline lattice that is submerged in a conductive fluid. The crystals share a number of commonalities with the neurons in a brain, and the fluid acts as the synapses connecting them together. When one of the crystal neurons fires, the signal is carried to every other crystal in the fluid. Only those crystals that share what AI researchers call "interest" (meaning they've already been part of an equation being solved or has been in one in the past) will actually pay attention and either act or not depending on its disposition.
Researchers had always known about an unforeseen side-effect of this activity: there was a net positive gain of energy when the brain was functioning. But, despite constant efforts no one was ever able to harness it in any significant way...until the breakthrough of 2050. With this development, all of the infrastructure that's typically dedicated within a device to provide either processing or electrical power was no longer needed. Because of the high storage capacity, a small battery that used to provide hours of usage could now provide enough energy to last weeks on top of providing all of the computing power.
Recognizing the value in this new product, and that it was an infinitely applicable invention, they decided to not just limit themselves to military grade devices but developed a whole slew of variations for the consumer and medical markets. In order to showcase their invention's flexibility, they decided to create something new that was as far from their regular product lines as it could be: toys.  In 2051, they rebranded as Milisaka Weapon and Toy Manufacturing Consortium just in time for the 2051 Solstice Season and released Zoozies , the world's first completely autonomous toy.
Zoozies were an instant sensation, selling out inventories every day they were refreshed.  With this kind of response, manufacturers from every sector lined up to partner with Milisaka in making their own dream products finally come true.  Since then, there have been thousands of new toys and other products released that contain the "Genuine Milisaka Smart Battery Inside" logo.
