Geddon, The Barge City
The inhabitants of Geddon fear less from the swamp than others of The Lost, but lose some of the mobility that the individual crafts have. Instead many crafts will join together and latch onto the side of each other to form a wide flotilla, membership of this makeshift landmass is temporary though and any vessel on the outside can leave at any time.
Demographics
Geddon has a higher amount of Givers and Draggers than the rest of First Loss, mainly due to the peaceful nature of the city, leaving few Cutters to enjoy living there but they will often visit to resupply. As a side effect, Geddon is generally more positive towards their northern neighbours of Al Renya.
As exiles from Al Renya, the primary group living here are the Alkken, but they allow for outsiders who don't disturb their way of life. There are quite a few Kratians who find the nomadic trader life on a barge similar to their previous life but with less open ocean.
Defences
It is rare for any invaders to brave the swamp and the moving nature of the city make it even more difficult to find. The main defenses are against the creatures of the swamp so in many places their is netting to try and keep them out. The aggressive bird species will often be found caught in the nets above as they dive to attack someone - leading to a free meal.
Guilds and Factions
The Draggers control the back section of the convoy and use it to drop their scoops to collect the peat from below the surface of the swamp.
The Givers have taken over the starboard side of the city, as it is most likely to see others to trade with. This section is lined with trade stalls offering a wide range of goods.
On the opposite side, spanning only a few barges is a collection of Cutters. These are a more permanent group and have taken on a role of police for the boat of their own choosing. They also spend their time promoting the idea of an attack on Al Renya.
Architecture
The resin that makes up the smaller barges is present here as well, making the city pitch black until it is hit by sunlight then it gleams with a golden light.
