Yea, they were not happy to receive that letter.
While there are many different texts throughout the ages that have been humerous to read, few are remembered to this day in the same way as the piss letter.
Particularly members of the Redgold clan are well known to be able to recite it from memory.
Historical Details
History
During a war between the Redgold clan and the Sverdkross clan a Redgold detachment got separated by a collapsing tunnel. Now trapped the Sverdkross clan had them cornered and sent a letter demanding that the detachment surrender.
After a while the detachment sent a letter back, to inform the enemy commander that there would be no surrender. A battle ensued that ended when the Redgold clan managed to dig through the collapsed tunnel.
In the end the detachment had barely lost any troops at all.
Public Reaction
The Sverdkross commander did at first not fully comprehend how brash the Redgold clan was, but then he became furious. After the war the letter became a rallying cry for those who wanted to eliminate the Redgold clan.
Once the story reached the rest of the Redgold clan it spread like wildfire and it is said that the laughing did not stop for three days.
Legacy
The letter has gone down as one of the most poignant demonstrations of the tenacity in face of hostility that the Redgold clan has ever produced.
