Soul (Instance)

Border1 Trans.png

Not to be confused with Soul
Souls bear the unique characterizations of certain entities, including Gods, the Four Races, Man-eating creatures (mostly Carnivoraformes and Detritivoraformes), as well as certain objects and areas.

Souls of the Four Races

Tychenine

Blessed with the Allmother's Luck, the Race of Scarabs is Fated with good fortune and longevity. Their graceless flying and small stature would put them at a disadvantage in the food web, however, they always seem to be at the right time in the right place to avoid the most lethal of dangers.

Attuned with their Patron, Loamtender Yati, the Tychenine are highly adept at Silt magic innately. Their Silted Souls enable them to retransfigure their chitinous bodies into all manner of weaponry, armor, and tools.

Diaphanine

Blessed with the Allmother's Humility, the Race of Mothers is able to hide from the Sun above, quite literally becoming one with nature.

Attuned with their Patron, Skylord Vosam, the Diaphanine are said to be made of beams of light. Their Stormy Souls enable them to parasing themselves (and others) vast distances in an instant, making them highly evasive as well as elusive.

Duanine

Blessed with the Allmother's Patience, the Race of Dragons are blessed with predatorial endurance. The term is innacurate, but doesn't translate well to civil tongues; it can also mean "an enduring will to survive" or "that which benefits an ambush." Duanine have been known to stalk a particular prey for decades, restlessly. They need not sleep, eat, or drink, only wait.

Attuned with their Patron, Shoresbane Epis, the Duanine are meticulous and deadly hunters. Their Seabornian Souls give them a metaphysically charged murderous intent; it is said the very gaze of a Duanine is painful, under such apex danger.

Pneumanine

Blessed with the Allmother's Wit, the Race of Man have an inherent attunement for Magic, and are able to manifest it readily by manipulation of their Soul.

Attuned with their Patron, Flamekeeper Moraji, the Pneumanine are determined, perhaps stubborn, in their will. Their Sparked Souls are capable of the most powerful and enduring magic, able to even circumvent death itself, perhaps.
