Bear-foot Shrimp Species in Land of Rain and Castles | World Anvil

Bear-foot Shrimp

Border1 Trans.png

Similarly shaped to a Loft Bear's paw, this crustacean is true detritivore, consuming anything that falls to the riverfloor or beachside, from decaying plant matter to animal carcasses. However, they are docile enough that they can be harvested by hand en mass by coastal shrimpers. Their meat is tough and best in soups, and their shells are dried and utilized as a substitute for bone in runic implements.
