Valya Ymirborn is a female Defender that on <date of 1 week ago> has received a job offer from the Battle Spears. She was born on Ymir and appears to be of Caucasian descent. She enlisted as a Defender on her 16th birthday, and formally graduated the Military Academy on her 21st birthday. Currently she holds the rank of Major.
Valya Ymirborn's subordinates rate her highly on various leadership skills. Her superiors note she is quick-witted and acts swiftly in case of emergency. Her speed has occasionally led to the impression that she acts without thinking, but reviews of both her acts and reasoning indicate that she simply has excellent intuition.
On <date of 5 weeks ago>, her intuition proved of import during the Fallen Wall incident, as her actions are estimated to have reduced casualties by 86%, and managed to prevent fatalities. She herself was hospitalised for 18 days. While after recovery she did face a Court Martial for her acts, the Military Court's inquiry cleared her of all charges.

During her service as an officer, Valya Ymirborn has been sent on 3 Explorations, suffering approximately 40% less casualties than expected given the difficulties of said Explorations (you are not cleared for details). Fallen Wall Incident - Court Records

On <date of 5 weeks ago>, a warning for an Ursa Major stampede was given off at the Thirteenth Wall, where Valya's unit was serving. During this time, a heavy downpour obstructed both proper sight and drone control, complicating the ability to keep track of the stampede.
Valya's unit went towards the wall as reinforcements. Near the wall, Valya suddenly turned around while calling for a full evacuation of the wall. She then opened fire on another Defender, with both lethal and non-lethal firearms. Continuing her calls to evacuate the wall, and avoid an armoured truck parked next to it, both Valya and her unit continued to scan their surroundings. Mere seconds later, they opened fire on three more Defenders, just before the armoured truck exploded and destroyed the wall.
The blast caused the collapse of the gates and part of the wall, and damaged various electrical cables. It also caused large numbers of casualties, including Valya and most of her unit. Valya herself, closest to the blast, was temporarily knocked out. Aside from a mild concussion, she also suffered third-degree burns to her neck and second-degree burns to her back.

After coming to, Valya took command over the chaotic situation and commanded most of her subordinates into a full evacuation. She kept fourteen Defenders with her and approached the destroyed gates. Due to the damage of the explosion, the floodlights were inoperational. Valya commanded her troops to light the area with flares, as she stood in the opening by herself. She also gave out orders that explicitly went against existing stampede protocols. When the Ursa Majors were detected nearby, she used (information temporarily sealed), which caused the stampede to withdraw.
In court, Valya provided an explanation for her acts, including a theory about the stampede's behaviour. The court found her theory acceptable and submitted it to the Science Department for analysis, with declared intent to use any findings to improve training protocols. Her precise acts and theory have been sealed until the analysis has been completed and processed.
In the aftermath of the incident, Valya was tasked with a press conference regarding the Fallen Wall Incident. She acted with sass and humour, and defended the decision to Court Martial her. Afterwards, she was granted two months of leave.
