General Summary

Cyren returns to Bear Keep and finds that Dael Runemaster is waiting for his, She has been here long enough to have explained to Talia and Dathania her intentions.
Adaon starts four fires in the courtyard. He puts his bracer in one and uses the other three for harnessing their power for future magics.
Ivan spends a few hours doing administration and meeting with his counsellors.
Once this is done Ivan goes and talks with Cyren and Dael. He is quite upset that she seems to have tricked Cyren into a marriage.
Ivan and Dael get into a huge philosophical and cultural discussion on marriage and love. Neither seems to understand the other's point of view. Deal comes from a culture where arranged marriage is the norm, whereas Ivan believes that love is the only reason to get married. [ It is a biological thing that Jarai only fall in love once and mate for life, regardless of socio-economic status. ]
Adaon decides that he is going to talk with Dael. She is quite upset about her conversation with Ivan. She feels that he hates her and she didn't do anything to deserve it. Adaon then does some sorceric trick on her and mentally transported to a room of ice. She almost panics and then uses some rune-casting to break out of the mental cage and send them back to the physical world. She is now scared of Adaon. He gets from touching her mind that she is older than she thinks she is by at least five years. Their short discussion makes Adaon decide to ponder more on this, especially when she reveals that the necklace that she gave Cryen is not only a link between them, but will also allow the deflection of anyone trying to invade his mind without Cyren's permission.
Ivan decides to lecture Cyren that he doesn't have to marry every woman he wants to sleep with. "You could just have an open relationship."
Adaon shows up and mentions that he is worried that Dael is a weapon, since she's missing a lot of time and is unaware of it. They discuss this a little while and Adaon still does not understand.
Dream to Adaon: You have a nightmare. Cyren is fighting unseen or difficult to see monsters or demons of some sort. He keep winnings, but they keep coming. Partway into the dream Cyren is gone. They are chasing someone. Eventually you see that it is Dael, but she is much younger. They are hurting her badly, even torturing her. Then you see her tied up and again abused – in ways you don’t want to see. The dream ends.
Cyren has a similar dream and they discuss their dreams. Ivan sleeps soundly.
Later in the day Adaon talks to Sashira (the wizardess at Valkra). He needs her help to thaw and save the people in the village where everyone was frozen.
Hudsi 22 - afternoon
Adaon spends the morning teaching Sashira what he needs. Then Adaon gets 6 strong people to come help carry the three people he is trying to save. They all portal down and pick 3 people, put them on stretchers and port them back to the castle where they do the thawing. The thawing is such that the reshockspell allows a constitution check to see if they survive or not. If successful, all is good. If not, they die.
So, Adaon prays to Necros who then sends him a vision of some herbs that help stabilise the heart and lungs. With the concoction this boosts their chances of living, lowering the roll by one level. [ It would have lowered it by two, but Adaon is not a good enough herbalist. ]
Two of the people survive.
Adaon thanks Sashira and says that in two weeks he should be able to have refined his spell and will ask for her help again then.
The chujarai are building a smaller airship to transport themselves back and forth between Bear Keep and Valkra.
Cyren spends pretty much all of his time training.... In loreteller (of all things).
Hudsi 32
After the ten days are passed Adaon wants to try the another three people. This time all three people survive!
Adaon decides to keep the people here until he has the next group saved, so that there are nine or ten of them. Because of the crunch of spring coming and the issues of food shortages, Adaon ups his timeline saves nine people each week.
Brilsi 33
A month has passed. Kiera is teaching Dael French, and Dael is teaching Kiera Old Valkran. Cyren finds this out today and almost has a conniption, since he seems to have wanted to learn this language.
Here is where Cyren takes the scroll they found in Old Valkran and thinks about letting Dael read it. However, Adaon overrides this and they decide to ask the royal librarian in Valkra do it for them. The scroll tells of a prophecy where a devil of ice will return and bring with it six species that are not native to this area - glass spiders, yeti, bugs of gigantic proportions, some flying creatures, and more. The devil is a precursor to the arrival of its original summoner.
Talia has mentioned to Cyren that she would like a baby some time soon. Ivan asks where they are going to get it and what species it should be.
Dael has finished the first of the protective pendants. Talia, Dathania, and Cyren argue for some time as to who should be wearing it. Eventually Cyren gives in and Dael puts it over his neck. She doesn't cringe for the first time ever.
Once this is done, Adaon teleports to Northgate. He is startled to find that the hall is empty. He continues through the keep and finds that place is abandoned completely. He gates Cyren and Ivan here. They explore the keep for signs of people, but find nothing.
Eventually Cyren finds a dead dog whose spine has been snapped, which upsets him . It is a large hunting hound, so he knows that the strength to do this is more than his own strength. He keeps searching and finds blood on the dog's teeth, so at least is a little appeased by that. He looks for another 20 minutes and figures out which direction the creature went. He incidentally found that a large group of people left in a different direction. Due to the snowfall it has been at least a ten days since this happened.
Cyren decides to check the bowels of the dungeon for an escape tunnel or a hide room. He finds the tunnel and heads out into the woods to the north of the keep. He follows it for six hours and finds a hidden underground shelter. He spends quite a while trying to convince whomever is in there to come out, shouting his name, offering safety, and aid of any sort. It takes him about 15 minutes to convince them to open the door. He then mind-contacts Adaon and they discuss a plan to save them. He will come back in five days to rescue them.
Adaon and Ivan turn into air form as Cyren tracks the people who fled to the north. Ivan has to learn how to fly now. He crashes a few times, and then after 30 minutes or so is able to head the correct direction. They travel after whatever force it was the headed east until they overtake the forces.
They see at least 100 yeti (or yeti-like creatures), a land dragon, at least 50 other humanoid creatures, several gnayik- a northern beast of burden that is hairy like a yak and look kind of like a cross between a yak and a horse.
