Laestrygon

Laestrygon is a realm as old as time itself, its legacy a rich tapestry woven through the aeons. A realm where colossi roam and civilisations are built in their shadow and visage. Cultures bloom and rot, while the seemingly immortal colossi survey the ever-changing landscapes.   Home to sweeping plains, tempestuous seas, and unseen caverns, Laestrygon is rife with undiscovered treasures. From the disparaging swamps stretching beyond where men dare to go, to the wind-echoed mountains upon which dragons make their roost. Towns and cities have been built and torn apart through the tumultuous aeons, some disappearing seemingly overnight while others slowly fading into obscurity, leaving insights of what once were.   Currently life is flourishing once more; Towns and cities are bustling with life. Feudal civilisations have currently taken hold of the land. In the towns, conversation swims from vendor to vendor of rumours of the mysterious land. Adventurers range the vast expanse of Laestrygon in search of long forgotten treasures, seeking fame and glory for their deeds.   But not all is well. The half century cold war between Allas and Despacito II has recently reignited, tossing all hopes of peace to the wind. Stirrings to the West, beyond the snow tipped peaks of the ever-mountains, have fuelled an almost crusade-like expansion in the far reaches Westward into the unknown and un-mapped land, housing the remnants of empires, lost and forgotten to time. Far to the North in The White Wilds there have been strange happenings; puzzling disappearances and talk of the occult. Corruption is widespread, leading many people to question where the true power of the land lies. Do our countrymen really have their hands on the wheels of our fate? Or is a cruel joke being played on us by the gods, in their wanton ways, caring not for our whims.
