The Twenty Two
Structure
There are twenty two Gods in this Pantheon. Each God has a High Priest or Priestess that periodically change out based on their exposure to the Gods' divine radiance.
Culture
Those who are devout followers of a God are known to move to the temple. More casual followers are known to keep themselves to a moral code of the God they've chosen to worship.
Public Agenda
The public agenda is t spread the history of the world and the triumphs of the 22.
Assets
There are 22 temples, one for each of the Gods. Each temple rests on their own island which is the assigned God's holy ground. Each one has different, strictly enforced rules.
Ethics
There are no overarching morals and ethics for the worshipers of the 22. Each God has their own set of morals and ethics.
Worship
There are plenty of places to worship and come together as a community, but worship is usually done between the worshiper and the God.
Priesthood
In order to become a High Priest or Priestess, you must be appointed directly by a God. Each one has a different symbol, and when someone is chosen the symbol appears on their forehead.
Granted Divine Powers
The Gods are known to grant a great many different powers to their more devout worshipers.
Political Influence & Intrigue
Many of the nobles and royals of this world use their religion to justify their decisions and policies. Religion is very intertwined with politics.
Sects
There is a branching sect for each of the 22 Gods. Although to worship one is to acknowledge the others, usually only one is worshiped at one time. Each sect has their own set of rules and rituals that they partake in.
