Oceanic Democracy
The Oceanic Democracy is made up of representatives of all sentient life forms that live in the ocean. The High Council within this organization makes the decisions on foreign and some domestic policies. For the most part however, domestic policies and all other laws are decided through a vote by the people. Each city, kingdom, or clan has differing laws and regulations outside of the organization as well.
Structure
Head Council Member: Negotiate with the land, mediate the council meetings, and break up ties
Council Member: Make foreign policies and maintain nation wide laws
Representative: Selected delegate of a oceanic kingdom, city, clan, etc. to represent their cause to the Council
Liaison: Representative from the council who go to the oceanic kingdoms, cities, clans, etc. to make sure everything is in order
Secretary: Counts and organizes the votes, creates and structures the ballets
Voter: Citizen of the ocean, votes on laws and policies
Public Agenda
To create a just, fair, and united front for the people who live within the waters of Laeseon. The goal is to have a formal seat at the table when it comes to world wide politics. To be seen as equals by the Kingdom of Roris, Empire of Shirin, and Kingdom of Trumore.
History
The sentient species that live within the waters surrounding Laeseon banded together into the Oceanic Democracy. Some cultures resisted this change, but over time, all species and cultures agreed to join together. As such, they each send representatives to the High Council.
Territories
All oceans, rivers, and all bodies of water connected to the ocean belong to the Oceanic Democracy. As species that naturally live in the water, they have claim to the lands. The sentient species created truces and assembled together into the Oceanic Democracy.
