Vixera

The Queen of Blood

"We are not like her followers, Certak is so sad and depressing, death is not depressing, death is a glorious thing. Blood, death, killing, sickness, it is not something to be feared, Vixera does not fear it and neither do we, it is pointless to feel sad about it, instead marvel at the sheer power of it all!"
-Tolarel Teshkir, Mercenary and disciple of Vixera
Vixera is the god of blood and death, she is cruel but not emotionless like Certak. Vixera represents the ways that people can prematurely die in their life, from sickness, from being killed, poisoned, bled. Of course the main thing she is known for is for her commands to her followers to ceaselessly gather blood for her. She is also known for necrotic magic and an affinity for undead. Vixera is chaotic, always pushing to reverse the force of entropy in any way she can, shifting the balance as much as possible to wherever her domain reaches for Vixera is easily bored. The enemy of Vixera is Vallusios; while Vallusios is the queen of life, Vixera is the queen of death. The singular dark wing of Vixera is said to be only one half of the pair, the other wing belonging to Vallusios.

Divine Domains

The domains of Vixera are blood, plague, gore, death, violence, trickery, cruelty, and poison. She represents the most sick and twisted aspects of the world bringing death and destruction wherever her influence reaches. Every time some noble is tricked into drinking their demise she laughs in wait for them to finally collapse.

Holy Books & Codes

The holy books of Vixera is known as The Fives because that there are five of them. Each book represents a different aspect of Vixera: Sanagine, the book of blood, Esastine, the book of disease, Noreline, the book of blades, Anetine, the book of murder, and Feskine, the book of decay. The fives were written ages ago by the original five disciples of Vixera, known as the Deathbringers. Each book tells of how to bring death, the glory of destruction, and the power of Vixera.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The symbol of Vixera is a disembodied heart with a mouth that is grinning. Out of all the arteries the heart is cut off from, green blood pours out in disgusting waterfalls. Her symbol represents everything she stands for: gore, murder, death, and laughing in the face of it all.

Tenets of Faith

The rules of Vixera are:
-Spread blood in prayer, sacrifice anything that can bleed over the altar.
-Do not seek to cure illness of any kind, allow it to fester and decide whether its host is worthy of survival.
-Murder when it is convenient.
-Draw plentiful blood from those who you hurt.
-Do not allow the bounties of death to be wasted, let the soil to thrive off the death you create.

Holidays

The only "holiday" in prayer to Vixera are what is known as "The Testing Days." During the testing days followers of Vixera test their own will by bringing harm to themselves as in purposefully contracting disease, bleeding themselves, consuming rotten foods or food with minute amounts of poison, and generally risking their own lives for five days. On each day of the testing days they sit on an altar to Vixera so that if they die, they will be self-sacrificing to her.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Vixera wishes for people to not fear blood, death, gore, plague, and poison, but embrace them, sacrificing to her all the death in the world instead of letting it go to waste. Vixera despises the waste of life and instead believes that undead should be created everywhere people die, dead animals should be left to compost, and souls should not be guided to the outer planes by Ludasa. She also wishes for the god Certak to stop being worshiped since while Certak and Vixera may seem similar, Vixera despises the hollow depression and lack of passion represented by Certak.

Physical Description

Body Features

Vixera has a slender body with a significant hourglass shape and reddish skin. Every part of her appearance is jagged and sharp looking, her body is perfectly shaped for her to be every more imposing. Her nails are very long but perfectly groomed and painted a bright shade of red, her feet are always in the highest red heels one can find. She is very vertical and tall wearing all sorts of jewelry on her arms, neck, and hands. On her back is a great torn wing of jet black feathers.

Facial Features

The face of Vixera is sharp and imposing, she appears slightly aged yet she covers it up using extensive amounts of makeup. Her face is always stuck in either a cruel grin or a scowl striking fear into those she looks at. Her fearful appearance is only amplified by the fact that her eyes are red, lime-green, and black as well as her extremely pronounced cheekbones. A sharp black onyx crown rests on her head, said to be the source of her destructive power.

Identifying Characteristics

Vixera is not easy to mistake for her eyes, her very tall height, her extremely fancy jewelry, her vivid red clothes, and one of the most notable things about her appearance, her completely bald head. She is covered in tattoos across her arms and legs, these tattoos of course depict her symbols, violent scenes, and revolting imagery. She has pierced ears usually dangling some sort of earrings and a pierced nose with a golden ring. Her one wing is especially striking, with its partial cover of black feathers, the rest were said to be ripped away as Vallusios split into all the gods.

The Church of Vixera

The church of Vixera is a part of both The Infernal Denomination and The Anarchic Faith as she is a god of both chaos and evil. Churches or chapels of Vixera are usually vast halls filled with vibrantly colored murals and stained glass. Often the wooden furniture in her churches is colored with blood. Usually the stand of the head of the church will be made of stone and have channels carved into it for, you guessed it, blood letting. Little outcroppings are built into the walls with sacrifice tablets for one to lie down on and bleed, if the chapel has a viewing balcony outcroppings will also be placed there. The church of Vixera keeps itself very hidden so they will not be compromised but followers of Vixera will often come out into the open screaming the words of their god and making sacrifices in public places if Vixera commands it.

The Followers of Vixera

Vixera's followers are made up of orcs, half-orcs, goliaths, humans, monsters, and often the more morally decrepit tieflings. They will try to sacrifice as much as they can, using the magic provided by Vixera to make horrible monstrosities and undead, often using their own blood to power their magic. Her disciples are usually very tricky and difficult to catch by law enforcement as they cover up their tracks well and know how to assassinate a person cleanly. The clearest evidence of a follower of Vixera committing a murder is bodies without blood, though often these murders get mistaken for being caused by vampires. Usually her followers are crazy people or people who just really hate the world, often insane asylums may be filled with many followers of Vixera. In one case it was reported that a group of patients in an asylum formed their own cult of Vixera and ended up sacrificing animals, their care takers, guards, and even each other to her. While not all followers of Vixera are like this, most are just people who simply want to watch the world burn, many of them are so beware of anybody who may be a follower of Vixera if you want to keep the red juice flowing through your veins.
