Tonkir
The continent of Tonkir is the south eastern most continent. To the north of the continent is the great deep forests known as the Ivory Forest and Cinnabar forest. It is home to the wood elves and strange rifts to the feywild exist in the deepest parts of the Ivory Forest, once before the split the forest crossed over onto what we now know as the continent of Rena. On the southern edge of the continent is a massive crater known as the Fossil Crater, caused by the meteor that killed the great tarrasque.
Geography
Dense forests cover the northern parts of the continent, to the south are large lush glades and the high Perinè plateaus which contrast with the decimation of Fossil Crater. Huge spires of rock jut out from the ground of the crater and only small vines and weeds grow in the slow recovery of the continent.
Fauna & Flora
To the north giant redwoods and tall grasses cover the forests, ferns, mushrooms, deer, rabbits, squirrels, and a multitude of other animals are native to the deciduous forests which is dotted with little streams cutting through the soft reddish soil. In the crater small bugs and birds can live off weeds, small grasses, and plants but there is little else to eat.
Natural Resources
Some of the less dense parts of the forest on the edges can be chopped down for lumber with little worry of treants. Good amounts of stone and ore can be found in the crater and the bones of the tarrasque are constantly being studied and researched in the town of Rockhelm.
