Ynys Draig
Often the first island seen by incoming mariners, this island is shaped roughly like the curve of one of the great dragons from ancient human stories of the Fae.
Geography
Two mountain ranges create the spine of the island with a vast stretch of large hills that run between the two. The bases of the mountains are wooded and run eventually into gentle grasslands before reaching the sea. A ring of small islets circles the outer coast of the island, forming a storm and surge barrier to protect the main coastline.
Natural Resources
Grains and livestock are the primary agricultural resources used by the island's inhabitants. Cattle and hogs are the most common among the grasslands and woodlands, but up in the hills and mountains, sheep and goats are the primary source of income.
The woods on the mountains are evergreen pine with scattered oak and beech closer to the sea-level, with a steady business of charcoal making.
Gold, iron, tin, and copper can all be found in the highlands and mountain ranges.
