Laehland

Tens of thousands of years ago, Laehland did not exist as it exists today. The gods were dead and the demon Ruin led his armies across the land. The queen of the fae, TItania, struggled to hold back the legions of demons.   After years of conflict, Titania had lost many of her armies. Desperate for a solution, she crafted creatures from a marriage of arcane, natural, and forbidden technology. These creatures, known as Steelborn, immediately helped stem the tide of destruction. Soon, Ruin found his forces matched.   Titania herself met Ruin on the field of battle. Ruin raised his cursed axe, dripping with foul acid, as Titania met it with her sword of thorns. They fought for days on end as their soldiers died around them. Finally, with a might clash, both Ruin and Titania's weapons shattered with an explosion of power and the both leaders were slain as the land turned to a desert.   Today, Laehland has finally begun to flourish again. Elves, humans, orcs, goblins, lagos, dwarves, and all of the humanoid races live together in relative peace. The Steelborn of legend are all but gone. The people are educated and well fed. New gods have risen, six mortals who transcended the mortal plane. Each god is a duality, one benevolent and one sinister, preserving a balance amongst themselves.   The demon lord Ruin has not been heard from, but tales are being told of the return of his three generals. Conflict is brewing and people begin to know fear again. With Titania dead and her people a rarity, how will this rumored threat be met?
