Yoakum Ivankaz

Yoakum Ivankaz is a human explorer who was one of the original members of Baron Nedev's expiditionary force. As one of the Scouts assigned to Wyrlum and Kitsu Falum, he was present for many of the discoveries that the Falums are recognized for finding.
Yoakum is now an older man, and does very little exploring at this time, however he still works to discover the secrets of his greatest discovery, the Monolith of Ivankaz. The Monolith is a tall mineral structure that was found on one of Yoakum's personal explorations of the Nedev area. He has tried over the years to discover more information about this unusual pillar, but has not made any great progress. As he gets on in years, he is still trying to unwrap its mysteries.
Yoakum, while not granted title after the founding of Nedev, has continued to do well under the patronage of the Falums, including their daughter Jillian, who Yoakim treats like she is his own daughter. Yoakum was married briefly, but lost his wife and son during childbirth, and has not since remarried. Instead he has dedicated his life to the Monolith that nears his name, and in helping Jillian in what ever way that he can, although recently he has stopped exploring on her behalf. He is often found helping her at her shop, or at Falun manor, where he lives.
While Yoakum's greatest days of exploration are behind him, he will drop everything and risk his life again, if he thinks it could lead to solving the mysteries he has yet to solve. He feels he owes that to the memory of his wife and son, so that the family name will continue to be spoken even after he has passed on to the Upper Lands.
