Renton "Revo" Dinsmore Character in Kyrn | World Anvil

Renton "Revo" Dinsmore

Renton "Revo" Dinsmore is a male halfling, a street sweeper by trade, but a revolutionary by nature. His parents were some of the first settlers to come to Nedev once it was founded by Baron Zazar Nocroth. His father, Tintus Dinsmore, was a tailor, and his mother, Junip, worked as a seamstress with her husband. After arriving and setting up shop, the young Dinsmores soon added baby Renton, to their growing family. Renton learned the family business at a young age, but did not see himself threading needles and sewing garments for the well-to-do for the rest of his life, and so he sought out training as a scout for the Baron's forces.   Renton soon fell in with some unsavory characters in town, who cajoled him into using his skills on a burglary. Renton knew it was wrong, but did not want to fall out of favor with his friends, and since the target was a wealthy noble, he figured it was Ok if they lost a couple of coins. Unfortunately the job went poorly, and Renton was eventually caught. His parents, hoping to shield him from the consequences, claimed that they had stolen the items while delivering a gown to the lady of the house. Renton was kicked out of the the Watch anyway, and his parents were sentenced to losing a hand each. With his parents no longer able to work, and Renton no longer able to find work with anyone in the town, he eventually took the only job available, street sweeper.   Now living in the Alley section of Nedev, and caring for his two parents, Renton has been using his time sweeping the streets to talk to the other residents of the Alley district, and has gathered a significant number of them that are also upset or aggreived at their treatment under Baron Nocroth and the other nobles of Nedev.   Using the alias "Revo", Renton has started posting flyers around the Alley, calling for change, and many people are listening to him. His closest supporters meet at his house where they discuss plans to bring justice back to the underclasses.

Hi there! You may not know me, but I am the sponsor of the Great Leader of Their People Summer Camp Prompt this year! Since you wrote this article, I would like to know, would you mind me reading it aloud on my Twitch channel next week? I have a lot to get through so it helps to do it live while people watch. If not, it's okay! Not agreeing to be streamed definitely does not put you at any disadvantage for winning in my eyes. Please respond swiftly by replying here (make sure to click REPLY under my comment or I won't be notified), message me on my World Anvil profile page, Discord, or anywhere else you find me online.   Thanks again! Whatever you choose, God bless and much success! <3

Interesting character and quite a sad but cautionary tale. Very fable-esque. The story shows that this leader is indeed not perfect, but did learn a valuable lesson.   Just a tip to maybe hide or fill up the sidebar to be at length with the article using art, descriptions of the character, or article blocks (once again, I know it was most likely a rushed article, reach 300 words, move on swiftly, I just thought I'd give my suggestions for the future here). Thanks again for sharing. God bless! <3

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. i normally do add things to the side bar, but this Summer Camp, I was actually camping with no internet, so I wrote everything in notepad++ and then copied and pasted it in to WA when I went into town for supplies. Sorry I missed your request to use this in your twitch stream - I would have said yes!
