Kyrion

Kyrion is a world that is populated by primarily 4 continents, Riesbyel, Oros, Astaeas, and Thalaia. The latter two are conjoined and colloquially called the Twins.   It is a mid-magic, high fantasy world, populated with the classic races of fantasy and then some extras (created by the players or brought in from previously existing franchises). While there may not be a lot of magic in the world, there is still magic in it, just not a lot in the big picture. Spellcasters are a valuable commodity in the eyes of many organizations and governments, so they tend to keep a close eye on anything to do with magic, be they spellcasters, artisans, or otherwise. Magical items are a rare and priceless commodity and as such do not see much use, if ever. As such, there is a heavy regulation on magic and it is under heavy scrutiny by higher authorities.   Kyrion is overseen by a pantheon known as the Quartet, Four Deities that are attributed to certain domains and elements. Beneath them are lower ranked deities and against them are the Fallen Gods, their enemies and rivals who plot against them in an intricate game of chess using the world and the mortals that live on it to further and foil each others plots and goals.
