UWS HOMEBREW RULES

Consumable items are allowed as a bonus action.
You may take a potion for yourself as a bonus action
Feeding a potion to another player would be a full action

Hidden death saving throws
If a player character is knocked unconscious; Death saves will always be rolled by WHISPERING the roll to the DM using Roll20. This is done to increase immersion within the players and keep every party member on their toes regarding what is most important to their next turn.

Ritual Resurrections
Even in a world where powerful magic can return a creature's soul to its body, the journey back isn't always easy.

Quick Resurrections:
Each time a character is brought back to life via a spell or ritual with a normal casting time of 1 action, that character's Constitution score is permanently reduced by 2 in addition to any effects listed in the spell or ritual's entry.
This lost point of constitution cannot be restored without using the spell Wish.
This effect is cumulative across multiple resurrections, and should a character's constitution be reduced to 0 as a result of repeated resurrections, they are dead permanently.
After the spell is cast, the DM makes a Resurrection Check with a base DC of 10, increasing by 1 for each time the deceased character has been resurrected.
If the Resurrection Check fails, the soul does not return to the body but is not lost. Additionally, any spell slots used to cast the spell are expended.

Guiding Souls:
Characters can attempt to guide the deceased creature's soul back into its body as part of a spell or ritual with a casting time of longer than 1 action.
When doing so, up to 3 characters can project themselves into the soul realm to help guide the dead character back to their body.
Any character that chooses to guide a soul is considered helpless for the duration of the spell.
Choosing to guide a soul back to the body triggers a skill challenge where each contributing player describes the way in which they wish to contribute and the DM asks them for an appropriate skill check.
For example, a character may pray to the god of the fallen character, which may require an Intelligence (Religion) check at an easy to medium difficulty. Or a character might offer some kind of deal with a powerful eternity, offering their services for the return of their friend, which may require a Charisma (Persuasion) check. Advantage and disadvantage can apply here based on the contributions suggested.

Resurrection Check:
Once all players have contributed, the DM makes a Resurrection Check, with a base DC of 10, increasing by 1 for each time the deceased character has been resurrected, and being reduced by 2 for each successful contribution made by other characters. Upon a successful Resurrection Check, the player’s soul (if it is willing) is returned to their body and they do not suffer the -2 to their constitution score, or any other negative effects that would normally apply as a result of the spell or ritual used. If the Resurrection Check fails, the soul does not return to the body and is lost in the Soul Realm.

Inspiration tokens
• DM may reward an inspiration token to a player (Only one may be held at a time)
• May be used anytime during that session (unless awarded at the end of a session, you may use it next session) .
• Token may be added to any roll.
• Token must be announced before the player rolls.
• Token will be loosely based on "Bardic Inspiration" from the PHB Ch. 3.
Level 01 to 04 = 1D6
Level 05 to 09 = 1D8
Level 10 to 14 = 1D10
Level 15 to 20 = 1D12

Spellcasting:
It is recommended that spellcasters choose a spellcasting focus in lieu of component bags for simplicity of casting. DMs will not widely track material components for casting unless the DM determines the spell you are casting has a larger affect on the game/session. I.E. Find Familiar; Revivify, Raise Dead, Teleportation circle, Greater restoration

Item Pricing:
All item prices will be done utilizing "Sane Prices" from 5emagic.shop
