Gohn's Conquests

Gohn Divider

I bear the axe of my father and I bear the name of his axe. I bear his blood and I bear his destiny. What better calling can I find than this?

Tuskoden Purifies Gohn

It was the first day of the seventh month in the twenty-sixth year and the orc tribe which had previously been led by Gohn, forgetting of the conquest they'd once set out for just as he had. In these days, Gohn's lover, the dragon woman, Kentievna ruled the tribe by blood right with Gohn's three children: Glasha, Igoz, and Hanz.   The people were very still, and both orc and dragon found it common place to mix their cultures daily. But, this fusion was an abomination to Tuskoden, who still wished to fulfill the destiny he had set before Gohn in the days of his reign. The tribe needed to be purified.   So, in a terrifying display, Tuskoden's spirit appeared before the tribes with a size as large as the nearby mountains. Outstretching his hand, he beset upon the tribe terrible afflictions that tore the blood of the dragons away from the blood of the orcs, and the dragonman tribes were driven away completely from these mountains.   To Kentievna, the earth opened up beneath her and she was swallowed by it. To her children: Glasha, Igoz, and Hanz she tore the blood of their mother from their bodies, leaving only their father's blood in them. Their horns regressed and their bodies transformed into full-blood orcs just as Gohn was.   Then, Tuskoden spoke to the children, "The blood of your father was destined to bring low all the land you can see from the west to the east. That same blood flows within you, but was tainted. But, behold, for I have cleansed your bodies and separated the tribe of your father from those who made you impure! You each will lead your own portion of the tribe, therefore, for the blood that runs in you is kingly."   "Hear, then, what I have next to say to you, for the destiny of your father shall now fall upon you."

The First Conquests of Glasha

To Glasha, Tuskoden spoke, "Hear these words, daughter of Gohn, for what I am about to say you will go and do. A third of the tribe you shall lead, and with this portion you shall lead it to the desert plains known as the Ash Creek Savannah, for you will lay claim to that land. It will be the first region west of these mountains that shall fall to your tribe."   "But, in this area you will first encounter lions and many violent creatures like them. They will detest your kind and seek to destroy you in every moment. But, fear not, for I have purified your tribe from its impurity, and my power rests in you. You will take up your axes and bows and drive your enemies from that land. Not one will be left to oppose you. You will take hold of the whole region.   Tuskoden said, "But, beware, and do not enter the area east of the savannah where the many rivers run wild. It is a corrupt land and my power will not flow there. No, not even one of your tribe will enter that place, for all who do will be annihilated."   Then, inspired by the destiny of her father and its shift to her, Glasha did as Tuskoden commanded.

The First Conquests of Igoz

To Igoz, Tuskoden spoke, "Hear these words, son of Gohn, for what I am about to say you will go and do. A third of your tribe you shall lead, and with this portion you shall lead it to the place within the desert wilderness that blooms with water and trees. In this oasis, you will subjugate it all to your banner and all that live in it. It will be the second region west of these mountains that shall fall to your tribe."   "But, in this area you will first encounter elephants that walk on four feet and elephants that walk on two. Those that walk on two will come before you and your people, and with sweet and convincing words will tempt your kind to coexist with theirs. You will instead take up your axes and bows and drive that enemy into submission, for the blood of your tribe is to be pure. It will not dwell equally with any other."   "Their size will be fearful, but fret not, for my power rests in you, and you shall destroy all who oppose you. These people will be driven to their knees and you will bind them in chains to be forced to work without rest until the end of their days. Thus shall you conquer this Oasis of Grace and all that live in it."   Then, inspired by the destiny of his father and its shift to him, Igoz did as Tuskoden commanded.

The First Conquests of Hanz

To Hanz, Tuskoden spoke, "Hear these words, son of Gohn, for what I am about to say you will go and do. A third of your tribe you shall lead, and with this portion you shall lead it to the river which flows from the oasis I spoke of to your brother. At this river, you will find the dragonman tribes which I have expelled from your midst. Just as your father did years ago, you will conquer these tribes and bring all the land along the river under your banner. It will be the third region west of these mountains that shall fall to your tribe."   "But, as with your father, these tribes will rise up against you for their hatred to your kind will be rekindled. But, as my power will rest in you, you will bring your axes and bows down upon these enemies, and they will be annihilated before you. Not one will be left to oppose you."   Tuskoden said, "All who survive will be prostrated before you and bound in chains to work without rest until the end of their days. But, do not take for yourself their idols or relics that your people used to love, but instead you will toss all of them into the river where it will be carried away forever. They are an impurity and will desecrate your rule, otherwise."   Then, inspired by the destiny of his father and its shift to him, Hanz did as Tuskoden commanded.   Then, all three children of Gohn divided the tribe into three portions as had been commanded by them, and they all set out in the directions appointed by Tuskoden.
