Ghanaian businessman, Kuma was already one of the richest people in Ghana by 2050. He founded one of the nation's most successful companies in 2042 and quickly started making money. But he is most well known for his project, Kumba City, the city which was to inspire hope in the Ghanaian people.
Ohini Kuma was born in 2004 in a poor family and grew up not going to school. He was quickly seen as a child prodigy and by the age of 18, he already had become very influential in his village, in some cases even more important than the chief. When he was 25, he started working for a warehouse and rose to the top of this company quickly. With the money he had made he started his own warehouses in 2042 when he was just 38 years old. When in 2064 the war and climate change destroyed the Ghanaian economy, he wanted to give other Ghanaians a path out of poverty by building Kuma City, a city with free internet and the electronic dumping grounds of the world's richest countries.
But many people saw someone else than the man who was frequently portrayed by the media. They saw a money-hungry, evil man. Kuma was severely underpaying his employees and even when he already had enough money for a lifetime, he kept on walking on the thin line of making as much money as possible without breaking the law. Although everything he did was legal, many things were barely legal, or exploited loopholes in the law.
But life wouldn't always be great for Kuma. In 2077, he was brutally murdered by one of the many gangs roaming the streets of Kuma.
