Sir Darthoridan Varis (a.k.a. Dimitris)

Sir Darthoridan Varis, more commonly known simply as Dimitris, was a great inventor, renowned engenieer of the Nefadric Empire and a true visionary of metal working. His invention of the deep freeze hardening process, officaly named the Dimitrian Process in his honnor, marked the end of traditional nefadric steel as metal of choice for any application and saw the rise of Dimitrian Tool Steel and thus paved the way for metals, especialy steels, tailored to specific applications. However he is perhaps most famous for the Dimitrian Hammers, made from Dimitrian Tool Steel, it was once ubiquitous in any professional craftsman's kit in at least one varriation, for it's superior durrability.

As a proper sir of the lesser nefadric nobility, Dimitris dressed exclusively in fine clothes. However he regularly sat himself appart by his exquisite taste, often impressing his peers.

A personal favorite of Dimitris was his custom tailored leather coat.

Dimitris has been a student of the arts of engeneering and has accumulated much knowledge over his lifetime, his journals, manuscrips and documents have long been relevant within thier respective fields.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Dimitris is a talented artist and writer, so much so, that his sketches and scematics as well as his documentations and thesis are of such amazing qualitiy that they inspired nefadric imperial standards. Dimitris had a significant impact on the Nefadric Empire with his inventions in general. Especialy the Dimitrian Process and the accomanying research changed the nefadric understanding of metal and allowed the discovery of more advanced metal working techniques, often grouped as the so called Varrian Processes which are also named in his Families honor. These led to massively increased productivity within the empire by allowing the creation of superior tools, with an averarage lifespan twice as long and much greater hardness when compared to non-dimitrian tools.

Intellectual Characteristics

Clearly, Dimitris was a genius; his mind always full of inventive ideas and two steps ahead of his time. Sometimes his ideas were bold, though nearly always exactly this has led to a creative solution which he quickly refined and adapted to produce desired results. Dimitris had a natural knack for machinery and knowledge as large as a repository. His understanding of the world seemend intuitive and he was also always up for a riddle. He would often occupy himself with challanges of the mind and often traveled to seek out new knowledge and challanges.

After his breakthrough with the deep freeze hardening process, Dimitirs spent a sizeable, though now insignificant for Dimitris freshly aquired wealth, on a professionaly trained hunting grey hawk along with the instructor and equipment to go hawk hunting.
