High Patriarch Luvidicus III

High Patriarch Luvidicus Belletor (Born to unknown parents)

High Patriarch Luvidicus III was born on the 28th of Soldais 928 of the 4th era to farmers who abandoned him at a temple. The first family to arrive at the temple in the morning was an older couple who frequented the temple, when they saw the abandoned baby at the steps of the temple they felt like it was a sign from the Gray wardens so they took the baby in. The couple that took the baby in were Luvidicus Bellator II and Mariana autem Clara, retired general of the Gray and master seamstress respectively. The baby was brought before the priests at the temple who prophesied that the baby would bring about a new golden age for the Gray. Luvidicus II hastily named the baby Luvidicus Bellator the 3rd so he could bring greatness to the name.   As Luvidicus III came of age (12) he joined the priesthood and quickly gained the favor of his superior's and learned of how the church and state work alongside one another. As he grew older he transferred his services from the town temple he was raised at to the Church of the Gray Wardens. One fortunate event after another led to Luvidicus III quickly climbing the ranks of the church as members mysteriously passed away or resigned. By the age of 32, Luvidicus III was the youngest Patriarch of the Gray Wardens and was reassigned to lead the Ebon Brook Chapel. In his time at Ebon Brook he met and gained the favor of many lords that were on their way to Stonewall, one of the lord's sons, Tyrius Noximus, looked up to Luvidicus III with zeal.   Years later on a fateful night, King Olymous was having a grand ball that many lords and members of the clergy joined, however Luvidicus III took this invitation to spend time at the Grand Church of the Gray Wardens where a few other lords and members of the clergy stayed at prayer; including lord Malius Noximus and Tyrius. As the night continued, Najrani assailants cut their way to the kings court and cut down any and all members of the royal court who were there. After that night had passed Luvidicus III pushed for Malius to be the new king. Eventually Malius did become the king but his passing followed shortly after and Tyrius succeeded his father. In his fathers passing, Tyrius only became more zealous and continually sought council from Luvidicus III.   It did not take long before Luvidicus III practically controlled king Tyrius' decisions. Church and state melded into a single entity. Luvidicus III began a new project in secret; deep beneath the grand church of the gray wardens, Luvidicus III used an ancient relic of unknown origin that is known as "the seat of the gray wardens" to use his faith to call forth the gray wardens to bring hope to his people once again. Luvidicus III did not fully understand the powers that he toiled with and brought forth a being of divine absolution to lord over the Gray and its people.
