Last Ford (city-state)

Located on Lake Beleil, at the junction of the SwiftFoot and Iron Heart rivers, Last Ford is a major trade hub on the Hawk Bane river system. Do'Thelum's land trade route ends here for transportation of goods to and from more southern river kingdoms. The Elf Lands send trade goods here and sell passages upriver through their embassy.
Almost forgotten is the smaller Silver River emptying into the lake. compared to the other three rivers, the Silver is hardly more than a stream, however it is the Silver River Ford from which Last Ford derived its name. That ford has long since been replaced by a bridge as the village became a town and is now a city-state controlling mines, farms, and smaller settlements in a roughly 20 mile radius on the east shore of the Beleil.

Demography and Population

95% of the inhabitants are human and native to Last Ford. The High elves maintain a small embassy here and some others have chosen to live here among the humans. A smattering of other races and nationals make up the rest

The Onni is pure silver and equivalent to the Valmark

The Soonni is silver (not pure) and is worth half and Onni

for smaller denominations, they use Valthorin quarter-marks and tines; dragonhold scales; and some Do'thelum Darlee
