The Scaly Peak

Overview

The Scaly Peak is a lonely mountain in the south-east corner of the Emerald Planes. It houses the Blood Moon Monastery, which is the home of the name-giving Scholars of the Blood Moon.
It got its name from the dragonscale-like formations on the side of the mountain. Behind these formations the Scholars created ways, tunnels and traps (with and without magic). Some of the rocks look like they got burned and melted, but that is probably a natural phenomenom, since none of the Scholars found traces of really hot fire.
The mountain is old, very old. There are in fact some legends, which state that the mountain was once the home of some old dwarven clan. Besides some very old runes exists no proof to these legends and so the truth is shrouded in mist.
