Mist Over Gloaming House
This one shot is written for D&D 5e, based on a party of four to five level 5 adventurers. They have each been given a cryptic message leading them to the Gloaming House Estate. This is written as a stand-alone adventure but can be inserted into any campaign if you so wish.
Story Overview
Many years ago the Valduvia family enjoyed the many comforts of noble life in Falkovnia. Well loved and respected by all around them and well known for their lavish balls and dinner parties. But after some time their behaviour took a more sullen, darker and morbid turn. This change was not a sudden one at all, more it was very subtle, like a rot seeping to the core of their being. The family became more and more recluse and the decadent gatherings they were so well known for became less and less frequent, untill eventually sealing themselves off from the outside world entirely. The cause of this strange behaviour was unknown to the locals and hushed whispers and quiet rumours started spreading. The once grand and majestic house fell into disrepair and nothing at all was heard of the Valduvia family for a long time and it was assumed that the residence was uninhabbited. Those living in the nearby town of [INSERT TOWN NAME HERE] now view this mansion as a dark, foreboding mystery to be view with suspicion. Children are warned to not venture too close for fear of their safety.Running The Adventure
This one shot requires the fifth edition rulebooks (Players Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual as well as the Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft. You should read this entire adventure before attempting to run it.
