Konesans, artificial moon

Terminus Est

"Be always kind and respectful, my child; Terminus Est is watching from above.

If you are always behaving accordingly Terminus will be well-disposed towards you."

Common saying
When you are looking into the sky at any given minute, there might be a good chance that you can spot Konesans looking back at you.
This moon is said to be the true form of the god of Knowledge and the frame of Terminus down here on Prius merely an avatar of his greatness. Some even think that Terminus has stored up there many more bodies of his to be truly immortal.

Geography

Konesans is a purely mechanical moon where no natural life is thriving. The plated surface consists of millions upon millions of solar cells keeping the technology inside the moon up and running as long as the sun is still up and shining. This monotonous surface gives Konesans its usual blue gleaming look when viewed at from Prius' surface.
There are however a few defining features able to be even seen from down below: The cold, always staring lense of Terminus, a satellite dish of many kilometres in radius, is always faced towards Prius observing its subjects every movement. And the massive canyon reaching around the moon gives this moon its defining segmented look.
Only the most devoted of the Silent Watchers are able to comprehend what is on the ground of this canyon reaching up to 10 kilometres deep. The mind of Terminus, the "knowledge pool", a library which is said to be the most complete library of the solar system having catalogisized everything from the dawn of creation up until this very day.

The knowledge pool

Not much is known about the knowledge pool for the common denizen. They know from the Silent Watchers that this place is the dream of everybody, who seeks ultimate knowledge, but nobody, not even the dedicated watchers, truly knows what exactly is inside this library and if it even exists as it got told.

History

Konesans existence began with the birth of Terminus as a small satellite of 1 km in radius. It was packed to the brim with state of the art technology being always wirelessly connected to Terminus' sensory central, expanding his vision, hearing and feelings to a degree where he could oversee a whole continent without problems collecting every important information in its core able to store many Sophobytes of data.
Over the course of the coming millennia, Konesans got more and more important to Terminus; he expanded this small satellite towards an artificial moon of 100 km in radius multiplying its sensory powers even further and rebuilding his former knowledge pool under its crust.
Directly connected to his consciousness this intelligent library catalogisizes every discovery made by him by saving and achieving his memories conscientious for further access. Furthermore, Terminus uses this secluded place to store away single copies of writings, that are prone to be erased out of history forever rendering the knowledge pool to a holy place of the nacked truth; unfiltered and unaltered.
Terminus allowed especially devoted Silent Watchers, who have proven their worth towards him and were able to handle the truth behind it all to be eternalized living from now on forever in this library of knowledge. Those who seek the truth accepted this one in a lifetime opportunity essentially ascending to demigods of knowledge in the process. The only catch of this agreement is however that they are not allowed anymore to make contact with any living being on Prius until the world is ready again to relearn the past taken from them.
"Those who seek the truth are those who willingly give up their mortal coil for your cause, master Terminus.
We, the librarians of Konesans, will be in the eternal servitude of him, who has given us the chance to learn it all.
We are your loyal quills, we are your trusty blades; we are yours and you are our god!"
The chant of the enlightened watchers
You chose to give up everything to join Terminus' enlightenment

I like how the form of the station or at least the defining features matches the cover image :D This is a well described article, good length, rief and entertaining. Nice of you to include the measurements

Good use of some sneaky features to make me a subscriber of your world! I really like the concept behind this moon, though I think a bit more connected explanation of who Terminus is would be helpful. Additionally, some formatting breaks in the vignette and history sections would not go awry, such as moving quotes into that section or using images or line breaks to guide the eye around the page.   I would like to know if there are any dissodents on Prius that might be tempted to take down Konesans?   All together, an enjoyable read that juat needs a touch more shine. Great job!

Thanks, I will consider this when giving the article a second pass.   I initially didn’t wrote much about terminus himself as I had in mind that the only way to get to this article is through Terminus‘ one, but that is a bit stupid thought, I give you that. Taking down Konesans? Good call! Images are in the making and will be put to good use in the near future :)   And the lil feature here. Rn, it just unlocks a few more passages in Terminus‘ article but I do want to expand this when I have the crucial articles present ^^
