The Battle of Casmeda Creek
The Conflict
Prelude
Rebels determined to overthrow the local duke had infiltrated the town of Casmeda Creek. They had taken over a majority of the town and were using it as a base of operations to attack settlements loyal to the duke.
Deployment
Forces of the duke set about to attack the town. Making the last 3 miles in the dead of night, they attacked the town at dawn.

Conditions
for most of the battle, the weather was clear. the morning of the 30th brought a rainstorm however, and the roads of the town grew slick. the duke's forces used this opportunity to breach the towns defenses.
The Engagement
No quarter was given by the duke's forces. orders had come down to raise the town completely and kill all the inhabitants. This was complicated when a contingency of field medics from the Purple Priesthood showed up to assist the wounded. The Duke's men were reluctant to attack the priests, and several inhabitants were able to flee into the surrounding woodlands.
Outcome
The town of Casmeda Creek was laid waste and the site has remained uninhabited since.
Aftermath
For attacking members of the Purple Priesthood, the Duke and his men have been denied services by the church. This is still in effect and is expected to last for some time.
