Runestone

Used to attach enchantments to weapons, armor, and objects. Blank runestones appear in most marketplaces of places with enchanter's guild. made by the hundreds in such places. Among the rich, it is not uncommon to use them to attach decorative runes. these runes often change year to year.    True enchantments are rarer, making up about 2% of all runestones. These runes are difficult but possible to remove from one object to another. It is not unusual to see one or two in some of the greatest warriors.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The enchantments that allow a runestone to merge with another object are some of the simplest. Runestone creation is often used as a basic teaching technique for enchanters.

Manufacturing process

Enchanter's guilds keep their exact process for creation, but some things are known. They smooth the one side against a grinding wheel after the runestone is roughly processed into shape.
