A letter for Monica
The letter reads:
Monica, my daughter:
I hope that you continue to be safe. Your mother worries about you daily, and I also am concerned for your safety in the dark places.
I have news. About a week after you left, Broom slipped his collar and broke out of the barn in the middle of the night. We heard him break down the door, but by the time we got to the barn, he was already too far gone and would not come when called. I tried to track him, but it became clear soon that he was tracking you. I am hoping that he has found you or soon will. I have sent his collar with the messenger.
I know the Summer Solstice is coming, and I believe that it should be arriving soon after this letter, so I have sent a gift of a few coins. I am hoping you can use it to buy something nice for your birthday. May your solstice be merry.
Your Father,
Thomas
