Warp
"Everything twists and changes. Nothing lasts forever. This is why chaos is both so beautiful but so ugly, it destroys to create and creates to destroy." -Thau
Effect
The warp is a corruptive force in the essence of it's most pure form. A virus inside the code of natural law and order which breaks down the foundations of possibility and reality to twist it's shape and form. One of the most pressing examples to why anyone would want to even bother dealing with the warp is because age as well is part of the natural code.
Every being has a set, ever changing date of expiration when they'll die, affected by being both shorted and prolonged by everything from diet, species, choices and more. The warp can brute force this code into a direct change, able to both erase someone from existance by aging them to dust, or as the forces of hell like to do, prolong their death date to infinity. The only problem is that this energy isn't perfect, far from it. rather being the most unstable form of magic that exist.
Since warp is so unstable it can't be used in on itself, which both ensures people can't just be turned to dust by an age a thousand years older spell, as well as requiring an anchor or a soul host to corrupt. Hence, warp is mostly only used on the self, or within technology to create immensly destructive weapons, or just wrought on the land and nature to spread chaos and disorder.
Side/Secondary Effects
Side effects from warp corruption can be both beneficial or fatal. If someone outside of the demons thousands of years evolved technique were to attempt and succeed in removing their biological finish line, something will likely still go wrong. Anything from muscle mass suddenly collapsing to bones starting to grow out of the back or other parts of the body is more than likely to happen. Other risks may include losing the ability to cast spells and in extreme cases even the sentient thinking, rendering a warped intellectual to become nothing more than a feral beast.
Since order strives against chaos, it is also possible that the natural way of the universe starts to bite back against the warp, unless it is properly anchored. Depending on how tainted the body or material of the host is, nature taking back it's right due can have lethal effects, especially if the warp is the only thing keeping the person alive.
Among only a few of the effects of warp-withdraw is flesh and skin cracking open, organs bursting, organs failing, tissue damage to the brain, sometimes internal combustion and many more horrible ways to die almost instaintainiously.
Manifestation
If the warp manifests as it should, it should meld naturally with the energies of the soul. Though this may seem to contradict the energy being pure unnatural chaos, it is by changing the whole essence of someones existance, or an object to make sense with the rewritten laws that allows the user to avoid negative side-effects. In most cases the object or person will have drastic changes in appearance, to either form or change their existing veins, be they of magic or blood, into glowing with an odd purple glowing lifeforce.
Source
Unlike what most people believe, tortured souls are not at all necessary for warp to manifest, even though they make for great conduits and failsafes if forged into objects. Truth is, the warp is by no means an evil or wicked force. It's the polar opposite of existance, scientifically known as chaos and one would not be able to exist without the other.
Chaos exists in nature, even though it's unatural. Like how rocks rarely can suddenly fly for a second of time, or how aspects of the element fire and the temperature cold can create chilly flames. None of this require a casters hand to achieve and is completely harmless. Warp only become sinister when this process of chaos is cranked up to eleven within factories of destruction. Rites and rituals, or machinery specially made to rip tears between the veil of reality and the mystical can become incredibly destructive as chaos will start to feed from order ceaselessly. Which done on a global scale could potentially result in armageddon with the laws of nature changing completely for said world.
Chaotic warp
Beyond the energy of warp, there is a singular force that is actually more destructive yet. Known as chaotic warp, this energy is given a sentient form with allows it to think, parasite and evolve on it's host, unlike that of the original energies. It is also chaotic warp which is capable of sustaining itself and fight back against the tide of order, even without a tear in reality to allow it's feeding. Worse yet, this taint is also able to take humanoid or animalistic shapes, unless it outright just corrupts a living entity instead, which is what makes it far more concerning. It still remains a mystery how this sentient energy is formed, though history has several tales told of how even the most wicked of demons will gladly ally themselves with the mortal forces to fight against this corruptive mess which sprouts patches of flesh, bones, organs, tentacles and eyes wherever it takes the ground. Some demonologists and cultists even argue, that their allegiance to the forces of hell is not a betrayal to the mortal realms, but a necessary evil to aid the infernal in bringing down a foe which could sicken even the devils. Namely, the Abyssal Gods.
