Kingdoms of Dura

Dark Eko. The Nightmist. Chaos. The Corruption.   Many different names for the same substance, the black magic that took hold of the surface world and left it desolate. Mankin and Elfkin alike fled underground, hoping one day to resurface, yet fear stayed in their hearts and in their minds. Centuries would pass before any would dare step foot into the bright sun.   However, the world was not always grim. Massive kingdoms spread across the lands, taking and giving back to the earth, Dura. These kingdoms also took and gave to one another, and complete peace was on the precipice. All that was needed was for one man, wielding an unforgiving and wretched power, to watch the world, and all its inhabitants, crumble to its knees in front of him.   Great forests, with trees older than recorded time, still stand and forever remember Dura from time immemorial. A time before Mankin fled from the Elfkin continent of Arima, to the mountains and forests of Dael. A time before Elfkin called themselves "The First Ones". A time where gods still roamed Dura, wielding power beyond comprehension.   But now, all that is to be seen is the black magic creeping in, and two Dunkin who have emerged from Dura's depths, looking to reclaim the surface.
